Comment: A big problem that we have as a society is smoking. This is a big problem because when people smoke not only are they damaging their bodies but other people around them as well. Also, when people smoke not only are they damaging their health but they are losing their money paying for the cigarettes and when they have to go to the doctor when they are getting their health checked unless they have health insurance. Another effect besides losing their money is while they are in the hospital they won’t be able to see their family as much as they used to since they’re in the hospital more than they are at home not only this but smoking leads to many deaths too.

Comment:Animal abuse is a big problem in the world. Today dogfighting has been reported in urban, suburban, and rural settings in all regions of the country.Animal abuse can can come in different forms for different causes.Over 100 million animals – mice, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, monkeys, birds, among others – are killed in U.S. laboratories for chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing every year.
Comment: Pollution is a big problem in the environment. Pollution is an intro of harmful substances of products into the environment. I learned that there are different kinds of pollution. Most people are more familiar with air pollution. Air pollution is when there are toxics in the air such as fumes from factories. This type of pollution can also harm trees. Another type of pollution is littering. Littering can harm animals. For example, a seagull might mistake the plastic that holds pop cans together as food. Also littering can make the areas around buildings look ugly.

Comment: Jahia C. Animal abuse is really cruel. I don’t think anyone would like it if anyone beat them or put them in fights v.s other dogs/animals. Animal abuse should STOP. Those innocent animals deserve to live!! Not to die in a sad death. If owners are going to kill the animal why waste time adopting one! Dogs and cats and other animals deserve to be loved and taken care of!! Not beaten and tortured until death. What’s even more sad is that police find that not important. I’m not sure if police actually care or not, but it sure seems like the cops don’t care if dogs are killed or tortured. I only see dogs dead on the streets on the news!!

The abuse of animals affects us in many ways.For example a black rhino is becoming endangered because people have killed and hunted them for their hooves. Comment: Animal abuse is a problem today because people are killing animals for no reason. Animal abuse is when people hurt animals and nobody told them or wasn’t allowed to do so. An example is when I saw this commercial of animals that were being turned in/ found by people in this community/ program. A lot of animals are being turned in or heard about being abused. Now animals aren’t even being cared for anymore, They’re just left outside expecting to live on their own. It’s not just regular pets, other animals are harmed such as monkeys, elephants, horses, and pigs.This is a big problem that needs to be solved.

Comment: Children can be more abusive than adults at times. An example is like in my book where these workers were killing animals in the forest even though they knew that the cats were there and they didn’t care. These workers just used their machines as long as they were getting paid because then they did not care. Some children were involved too. They tried to keep one cat, But instead he tried to run away but was picked up roughly. Now people need to understand how wrong it is to kill innocent animals. They hurt those animals in the forest and they lost their homes, etc. As a result they had to leave.

Comment:Recently I finished reading the american society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ASPCA) by Anastasia Suen , Anastasia Suen written 185 books , she started to teach elementary school in 1977, and is now returning as a visiting author.
There was a man named Henry Bergh who had a love for animals and so he started an organization to help animals, The organization was called (ASPCA), him and his organization started an ambulance service for horses in 1876 he also started classes for humans to take care of their pets, today there is an hospital for animals called (ASPCA) in new york, Henry Bergh was a great man when it came to animal cruelty.
In writing this book Anastasia Suen was trying to help us understand what animal abuse does and how to help animals also how to prevent animal abuse from happening the author was trying to tell people how to treat animals by setting up classes for people to take care of their pets the properly way.
I feel that this book was very interesting i think that the author did a very good job with giving facts about how ASPCA program and how the people cared about animal abuse also how serious this problem has become.
I would recommend this book to people who abuse animals and people who are interested in helping animal abuse stop, before anyone reads this book they would need to know what animal abuse is and know how important it is to stop it,today animal abuse is a big problem, and this problem affects me emotionally because i have a love for animals,I hope that one day animal abuse will stop and i will try my best to help.

Book Review
My story is called “Saving Lilly”. By Peg Kehret. Peg and her husband live in a log house by Mount Rainier National park. But when she isn’t writing anything she likes to have free time. She reads, watches basketball, and gymnastics.
Two kinds named Erin and David are helping to save an elephant from the circus. The circus is going to put her in the hunting park. The kids are trying to stop that from happening. On the other hand they have a goal for class to reach 300 books. Their teacher tells the class she will take them to the circus if they reach their goal. But Erin and David refuse to go because they found out that glitter tent circus is the top animal abuser and they don’t want to see them all of the animals forced to perform for them.
The author wanted to show you can make a difference in the world no matter how old you are. Also she shows you how people treat animals. You can do anything you set your mind to. In the book the students worked together and solved a problem to help an animal.
This book was good. I like how the kids worked together to solve a big problem. Also how it teaches you a lesson no matter how old you are.
I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who loves animals. They would have to know what animal abuse is. They might have to read other books about animal abuse to be familiar with it.

Recently, I finished reading the book called The Dragon Players by Frank Cammuso. Frank is the former award-winning political cartoonist. The main Character in the dragon players is Artie. he finds a way to help out his friend get $300 for crashing his teacher's car. he signs up for a dragon duel and the prize is $300. the message that this book tells is that you can't win everything. but you can win somethings. he learned his lesson by the other friend not winning the duel. I actually like the book very it because it was very interesting and it was a great story. what was interesting about the book was that artie had called the teacher a dumb tall lady. I would recommend this book to my friends because they might also like the story and enjoy it like i did.

Comment: I think that food like pizza, rice and water can be good for you within your body, but it’s not good for the environment to grow and make. For making rice, you need to drown rice fields in freshwater. This requires a lot of freshwater, but other people need it to drink. Also, for water, a lot of purified water is put into plastic bottles. All this plastic is wasted, and not put into recycling. Simple foods that are eaten like this require large amounts of natural resources, and/or lead to so much waste in the environment.

An example is like in my book where these workers were killing animals in the forest even though they knew that the cats were there and they didn’t care. Comment:Recently I finished reading the american society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ASPCA) by Anastasia Suen , Anastasia Suen written 185 books , she started to teach elementary school in 1977, and is now returning as a visiting author.
There was a man named Henry Bergh who had a love for animals and so he started an organization to help animals, The organization was called (ASPCA), him and his organization started an ambulance service for horses in 1876 he also started classes for humans to take care of their pets, today there is an hospital for animals called (ASPCA) in new york, Henry Bergh was a great man when it came to animal cruelty.
In writing this book Anastasia Suen was trying to help us understand what animal abuse does and how to help animals also how to prevent animal abuse from happening the author was trying to tell people how to treat animals by setting up classes for people to take care of their pets the properly way.
I feel that this book was very interesting i think that the author did a very good job with giving facts about how ASPCA program and how the people cared about animal abuse also how serious this problem has become.
I would recommend this book to people who abuse animals and people who are interested in helping animal abuse stop, before anyone reads this book they would need to know what animal abuse is and know how important it is to stop it,today animal abuse is a big problem, and this problem affects me emotionally because i have a love for animals,I hope that one day animal abuse will stop and i will try my best to help.

My story is called “Saving Lilly”. By Peg Kehret. Peg and her husband live in a log house by Mount Rainier National park. But when she isn’t writing anything she likes to have free time. She reads, watches basketball, and gymnastics.
Two kinds named Erin and David are helping to save an elephant from the circus. The circus is going to put her in the hunting park. The kids are trying to stop that from happening. On the other hand they have a goal for class to reach 300 books. Their teacher tells the class she will take them to the circus if they reach their goal. But Erin and David refuse to go because they found out that glitter tent circus is the top animal abuser and they don’t want to see them all of the animals forced to perform for them.
The author wanted to show you can make a difference in the world no matter how old you are. Also she shows you how people treat animals. You can do anything you set your mind to. In the book the students worked together and solved a problem to help an animal.
This book was good. I like how the kids worked together to solve a big problem. Also how it teaches you a lesson no matter how old you are.
I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who loves animals. They would have to know what animal abuse is. They might have to read other books about animal abuse to be familiar with it.

Recently, I finished reading the book called The Dragon Players by Frank Cammuso. Frank is the former award-winning political cartoonist. The main Character in the dragon players is Artie. he finds a way to help out his friend get $300 for crashing his teacher's car. he signs up for a dragon duel and the prize is $300. the message that this book tells is that you can't win everything. but you can win somethings. he learned his lesson by the other friend not winning the duel. Comment: I learned that people can also abuse animals by making them starve in cages. A woman named Diane Eldrup, took a lot of dogs into her animal shelter and put them in cages. Not only to let them starve but to let them die as well. This is possibly one of the worst things that anyone can do to animals. She is taking innocent animals and letting them die in her own shelter. Diane Eldrup was taken to Jail for animal cruelty.

Also can waste your money because a lot of people buy a lot of packs of cigarettes and it’s expensive. Then if you need to pay something that is expensive. Comment: I think that we should not drill holes because it could lead to another oil spill and could destroy so many plants and animals homes. Plus oil is not good for our ocean water because one day we may need to use that water to survive. It will be even worse if we drill holes and the oil gets into our freshwater supply. which will put a dent on humanity's survival.

Comment:Regular ranch work has been tore up of animal abuse disguised as western tradition.Rodeos have little homes to live in. Modern rodeos are nothing more than western themed circuses with contestants wearing costumes and racing against the clock in a cruel way for cash prizes to sell water,alcohol,and cars to the fans.To me i think using rodeos in circuses for cash prizes is wrong because their kidnapping precious animals making them learn unhelpful tricks that teaches them to do wild things and repeat doing them for a living.

And whaling – along with hazards such as ocean noise, ship strikes, pollution, oil and gas development and climate change – continues to be a threat to these intelligent creatures. Comment:Pollution is affecting over 100 million people in the world. Scientist say that people die every day from drinking dirty water from pollution. Over 1 million sea birds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution. This shows that pollution can cause extinction to animals and other species. Without some animals we can't live so that can affect humans also. If this happens we can also possibly go to extinction.

Comment:One of the major pollution problems is smoking.Tobacco smoke produces matter which is dangerous for air pollution. Air pollution is risk factor for vascular disease leading to heart attack and stroke. Air pollution can cause heart disease and asthma attacks to . Two million people die from air pollution a year. Comment: I think that food like pizza, rice and water can be good for you within your body, but it’s not good for the environment to grow and make. For making rice, you need to drown rice fields in freshwater. This requires a lot of freshwater, but other people need it to drink. Also, for water, a lot of purified water is put into plastic bottles. All this plastic is wasted, and not put into recycling. Simple foods that are eaten like this require large amounts of natural resources, and/or lead to so much waste in the environment.
